Charming Charleston

I’ve been visiting Charleston for as long as I can remember. Chucktown, as some locals refer to their city is somewhat of a blast to the past: mixing south charm with a stylish metropolitan vibe.

The downtown area is full of history and charm.

This lil fella was lazily moving along in the ninety-degree heat.

Chucktown is known for its amazing seafood. One of my favorite southern dishes is shrimp and grits. Virginia’s on King restaurant does not disappoint with their famous version. It was absolutely delicious!

The architecture is not to be missed in Chucktown. I caught a glimpse in this ornate window downtown.

A tour guide told me the sights and history of Charleston is best seen and heard on a horse and carriage tour of the city or (if you’re up for it) a guided walking tour. Upon my return, I’ll definitely be up for it, Chucktown!
